With a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and securities work, and energy and natural resources, Khaki has represented clients in a broad number of industries, including software development, tax, pharmaceutical, energy, manufacturing, construction, real estate, landscaping and more. She assists businesses of all sizes, including publicly traded and privately owned companies, private equity funds and small businesses.
Khaki has represented clients in more than 20 mergers and acquisition transactions during her time at the firm, gaining broad experience in drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, overseeing due diligence, and managing deal flow. In addition to M&A, Khaki is experienced with private security placements and securities law compliance. Assisting clients with their ongoing business needs, Khaki provides strategic advice and representation regarding entity formation, business structuring and general corporate matters. She has experience drafting and negotiating a variety of corporate governance documents and commercial agreements.
Licensed to practice in both Texas and Oklahoma, Khaki is originally from the Texas panhandle and is a proud Texas Tech Red Raider.
While attending law school in Oklahoma, Khaki worked as a landman for Devon Energy. Her work involved managing the company’s acreage position in the Barnett Shale, helping lead a multimillion-dollar divestiture, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to implement and grow a strategic joint development project. Her combined business and energy background prove valuable when assisting clients in various business transactions.
