After interning with the Youth Offending Teams in East London’s Borough of Newham, Mackenzie discovered a passion for law, inspired by the opportunity to transform a love for helping others into a meaningful career.
From juvenile services in East London to family courts in Birmingham, a state appellate court in Georgia and federal courts in Texas, Mackenzie Arnold quickly realized her calling as a litigator. Though the journey to commercial litigation was not linear, she thrives on solving complex issues and serving clients’ needs with dedication and purpose.
Mackenzie graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2024. During her time at SMU Dedman, she was a judicial intern for both Judge Reed O’Connor, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and Judge Brantley Starr, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, where she was able to see the inner workings of judicial chambers, form meaningful relationships, and observe multiple substantive hearings and jury trials. Additionally, during Mackenzie’s time at law school, she represented clients through SMU’s First Amendment Clinic, held a position on multiple student organization executive boards and spent time getting to know her fellow classmates shooting free throws at the Dedman Center.
