Partner R. Heath Cheek and Senior Associate Nathan Cox presented to the Dallas Bar Association’s Construction Law Section on the new Texas Business Courts. Cheek and Cox outlined the considerations for attorneys and companies bringing cases to the Business Courts, as well as key procedural rules and how the courts will operate. They also shared their experiences thus far in the new court system as the first to file a case in the Business Courts. On the new court system, Cheek said, “The Business Courts present an exciting opportunity for Texas businesses to bring their more complex disputes in a more efficient and predictable forum.”
