Jeffrey A. Tinker has joined Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP as a partner in its Intellectual Property practice group. He was previously a shareholder with Winstead PC.
“Dallas has seen a big influx of technology companies in recent years, and Bell Nunnally can be a strong partner for these companies – whether they are startups or established businesses wanting to enter the Texas marketplace. Adding Jeff’s diverse IP experience to the team is yet another move by the firm to ensure our clients receive the best service from the top talent,” said James Skochdopole, managing partner of Bell Nunnally.
Tinker, a registered patent attorney, has been helping clients protect their intellectual property for more than a decade. In addition to his patent and trademark practice, Tinker also advises clients on a broad range of IT-related issues, from software and technology services agreements to open source and data privacy compliance. More recently, he has become a go-to lawyer for apartment communities across the country trying to navigate the music licensing minefield, helping them survey the music uses at their properties and obtain the appropriate public performance licenses.
Tinker is a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2007) and Texas A&M University (B.S., 2002).
