Ansley leads Bell Nunnally’s White Collar Criminal and Regulatory Defense practice, and he is a member of the firm’s Litigation; Health Care; Antitrust; Securities; and Workplace Culture and Misconduct Investigations practices. He frequently tries white collar matters, with a special focus on health care fraud, securities enforcement and other alleged business crimes. In December 2019, he received a broad and complete acquittal on behalf of the firm’s client in a $100 million TRICARE health care fraud matter brought by the federal government. Ansley also advises clients in securities enforcement cases arising from securities offerings and stock trading activities, representing officers, directors, independent committees and boards and other professionals in high-stakes securities cases.
A former federal prosecutor, Ansley conducts internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients involving allegations of securities fraud, health care fraud, tax fraud, employee misconduct, possible violations of the False Claims Act and Federal Corrupt Practices Act, and trade secret theft violations. His insider’s knowledge of the tactics and resources used by prosecutors gives him a leg up on countering these tactics in defense of his clients.Ansley is a member of the American Bar Association, White Collar Section and the Dallas Bar Association, Criminal Law and Securities Law sections. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and a fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation.
