Bell Nunnally Partner R. Heath Cheek has been appointed secretary of The Real Estate Council’s (TREC)’s Community Investors Board.

TREC is a Dallas-based trade organization comprised of more than 2,000 individuals from 625 companies, comprising 95 percent of the commercial real estate business in North Texas. Its members include developers, builders, brokers, attorneys, architects, investment bankers, accountants, finance and title professionals. TREC offers networking and educational programs aimed at leadership development and continuing education.

TREC’s Community Investors Board leverages the organization’s vast and highly connected network to generate equitable development that revitalizes the region’s most underserved communities. It does this by employing a place-based strategy that transforms neighborhoods block-by-block, partnering with community members and nonprofits to offer loans, grants, professional services and educational programs.
