On June 20, 2017, Brent Turman was a panelist for “Success in the Screenwriting Business,” presented by the Dallas Screenwriters Association.

As the sole attorney on the panel, Brent provided tips on what steps screenwriters can take to protect their intellectual property if and when they are able to sell or option a script. Brent also discussed legal issues relating to working with a writing partner, the right of publicity, and fair use in filmmaking.
