Deals Attorney Jeff Cash Joins Bell Nunnally as Partner

Bell Nunnally has added attorney J. Jeffrey Cash as a partner and member of its Corporate and Securities and Mergers and Acquisitions practice areas. He joins the firm from Spencer Fane LLP in Dallas, where he was a partner.

Cash collaborates with client teams negotiating securities offerings (public and private), structures and negotiates mergers and acquisitions and advises in-house counsel and management regarding general corporate matters. He advises clients in various industries – including manufacturing, retail, hospitality and technology – in private equity investments, venture capital offerings and fund formations.

Cash also assists private equity groups in acquisitions, post-acquisition counseling and fundraising for companies with diverse portfolios. In addition, he counsels clients on corporate governance, periodic reporting requirements, stock exchange rules and other compliance matters. Cash also works with private offices and high net-worth individuals.

Experienced with many types of specialized legal work on behalf of boards of directors, Cash routinely represents clients in matters before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Deals that Cash has advised on include:

  • Representing a financial services company in a $104 acquisition of a second company to expand services into a new region.
  • Representing a private equity group in the Texas High-Speed Train Project investment (the Texas Bullet Train).
  • Representing a private equity group syndicate in acquisition of a private restaurant franchisee and franchisor involving 200-plus locations.

Named to D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list six times, including for 2020, Cash is a graduate of Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law (J.D., 1997) and Louisiana State University (B.A., 1992).
