This executive order addresses the influx of opioids and other drugs from Canada that endanger lives and constitute a threat to public health. In an effort to induce Canada to stem the flow of illicit drugs into the United States from Canada, this order imposes additional tariffs on goods imported into the United States from Canada — 10% on energy or energy resources and 25% on other items.
