This executive order is aimed at expanding all forms of reliable and affordable energy production in the United States, including the utilization of crude oil, natural gas, lease condensate, natural gas liquids, refined petroleum products, uranium, biofuels, geothermal heat, flowing water and critical minerals. It establishes the National Energy Dominance Council to be chaired by the secretary of the interior. The council shall advise the president on: (a) how to best exercise his authority to produce more energy; (b) the actions each agency can take under existing authority to prioritize increased energy production; and (c) setting long range goals for increasing energy production, including increasing infrastructure, improving permitting and technology, bringing small modular nuclear reactors online and ways to attract private energy investments.
