The purpose of this executive order is to stop the use of revisionist history in exhibits and narratives in national parks, museums (including the Smithsonian), monuments and memorials that is divisive on the basis of race and gender or disparaging of Americans past and present. Instead, exhibits and narratives are to concentrate on the achievements and progress of the American people.
