The Thanks-Giving Foundation, chaired by Bell Nunnally Managing Partner Christopher Trowbridge, is hosting a “Transforming Hearts” virtual prayer/reflection program on May 7 from noon to 12:45 p.m. as part of the nationwide 39th Annual National Day of Prayer. “Transforming Hearts, recognizes that each of us carries great potential to transform our communities, businesses, institutions and the world around us to better reflect our vision of a just, vibrant, multifaceted society of equals,” notes the foundation. “Respected community leaders will share success stories of investing in the power of people in order to build goodness. [Attendees] will be inspired by the great business, civic and faith leaders among us putting goodness into action where they are with what they have.”

Thanks-Giving Foundation, chaired by Trowbridge since 2018, is the non-profit group that owns and operates Thanks-Giving Square, a private garden and public space of reflection in Downtown Dallas. Opened in 1976 and designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson, the square is an urban oasis featuring a landscaped meditation garden and a non-denominational chapel. It was the city’s first public-private partnership, designed to inspire gratitude and honor the great American and world traditions of thanksgiving. The Thanks-Giving Foundation works to ensure that the space “celebrate(s) values, thoughts and spirituality” through an array of events, exhibitions and celebrations throughout the year. It is a welcoming environment for people of all faiths and traditions.
