Bell Nunnally attorney Xakema L. Henderson has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT) Foundation. She is part of a select group of professional and business leaders from across the region described by UNT Dallas—the only public, accredited four-year university in the city of Dallas—as “the single most important factor in helping the university achieve its goals.” In her role, Henderson is tasked with helping UNT Dallas reach its financial and growth aspirations while providing leadership through her time and talents. The UNT Dallas Foundation’s areas of focus are: 1) engaging the business, civic and philanthropic communities of greater Dallas; 2) overseeing governance and board development; 3) creating opportunities for private giving and stewardship; and 4) managing finances and investments. Henderson, the only attorney on the board, also hopes to use her legal skills and experience to help promote the school’s 2014-launched UNT Dallas College of Law.
