Reid is a commercial litigator, with an emphasis in practice areas such as business litigation and creditors’ rights. His broad litigation experience covers general business disputes, contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, shareholder disputes and partnership disputes. Reid also routinely advises companies and individuals on the litigation risks of transactions, deals, mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to his work as a business litigator, Reid also maintains a robust practice in the areas of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy. His creditors’ rights work includes helping clients obtain judgments and monetary recovery through garnishments, sequestrations, and other post-judgment collection processes. His bankruptcy experience includes representing both secured and unsecured creditors through bankruptcy proceedings and related adversary cases. His bankruptcy litigation experience involves serving as first-chair trial counsel of a contested matter, extensive motion practice, drafting and negotiating debt workouts and related transactions, and handling a wide variety of hearings.
