William approaches every matter by rigorously stress-testing both sides of an argument — identifying vulnerabilities and building the strongest possible case in response. That close, careful reasoning anticipates the opposition’s future moves, so clients can prepare strategies from a position of strength.
William Hinson focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, drawing on prior experience researching shareholder disputes, pre-suit discovery and other litigation matters, and assisting with trial preparation and case strategy.
During law school, William served as editor-in-chief of the Texas International Law Journal and executive editor of the American Journal of Criminal Law. He was active with the Board of Advocates and reached the semifinals of the Judge John R. Brown Interscholastic Moot Court Competition. In addition, he contributed to the development of an amicus brief on behalf of magicians Penn and Teller through the law school’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and was active with the school’s Capital Punishment Clinic.
William further developed his legal research and writing skills while serving as a judicial intern to the Honorable Martin Hoffman of the 68th Civil District Court in Dallas.
