Ackels’ presentation will provide HR professionals with practical guidance for preparing their workplaces for enforcement actions by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Through real-world scenarios, the session will address protocols for responding to an ICE raid or site visit, including what HR professionals, front desk staff and managers should and should not do during an enforcement action. Ackels and Rodriguez will also discuss workforce preparedness strategies, employee training, document readiness and audit risk mitigation, including best practices for I-9 compliance, document retention and internal audits.
