Taking a page from the lessons learned as a former college athlete, Shane is driven to work diligently to achieve both personal and team goals. He brings this same energy to helping clients understand their rights and achieve positive legal outcomes.
Shane is a trial lawyer through and through. In his litigation practice, he tackles complex issues and helps to devise forward-looking plans that help clients minimize the disruptions caused by litigation and maximize their recoveries, whether at trial or via arbitration, mediation or other settlement negotiations.
With experience delivering litigation and compliance counsel to clients in the energy sector and financial institutions, Shane has an understating of all federal financial consumer protection laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, as well as compliance with state consumer protection statutes relating to consumer lending and collection activities. Shane also advises and represents utility companies in state and federal government agency proceedings, as well as in Texas state courts, and he has involvement in matters extending to creditors’ rights and bankruptcy proceedings and labor and employment.
While attending Tulane University Law School, Shane was a member of various moot court teams, one of which won a regional championship. Shane also received the Crest award for his work as Class President in his final year at Tulane.
