Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP has added Mark A. Shoffner as partner and member of the firm’s Labor, Employment and Benefits and Litigation practices. He joins the firm from Andrews Kurth Kenyon LLP, where he was partner.
“We are excited about Mark coming on board, continuing our strategic growth by adding lawyers of high caliber and integrity,” said James Skochdopole, managing partner of Bell Nunnally. “We are confident Mark will thrive in our collegial, solutions-focused environment.”
Shoffner counsels clients – ranging from publicly-traded and privately-held corporations to investor funds to individuals – on employment law and litigation matters involving issues such claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), payday laws and anti-discrimination statues. He also works with companies to help protect and defend trade secrets and enforce non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. Also active as a commercial litigator, Shoffner represents clients in a variety of matters, including partnership disputes, breach of contract and fraud cases and breach of fiduciary duty matters.
A long-time “Texas Super Lawyer,” Shoffner is a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law (J.D., 2002) and Louisiana Tech University (B.A., 1999), where he remains active as a member of the board of directors for the University’s Alumni Association.
