The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) appointed Bell Nunnally associates Murphy Sayre and Saba Syed to serve as mentors to diverse, first-year law students in the “Success in Law School Mentoring Program.” LCLD is an organization comprised of more than 300 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to building a more open and diverse legal profession. Sayre and Syed, LCLD members and past “Pathfinder” participants, have each volunteered to mentor by taking an active, personal interest in the academic and professional development of these students. The program’s goal is that “students receive the mentoring they need to maximize their potential, both during law school and afterward, as they prepare for the bar exam and launch their careers.”
