Bell Nunnally

Nonprofits

Representing private foundations and public charities and helping them with their legal needs is a mainstay of our work at Bell Nunnally. We are committed to serving the organizations who serve the most vulnerable in our communities.

Many Bell Nunnally attorneys devote hours of personal time to causes throughout the community. Recognizing the increased positive impact that well-run organizations have, we also serve as general counsel or issue-specific counsel when nonprofits need to address legal issues, from employee- and volunteer-relations to tax and legal filings to maintain compliance that protects their tax-exempt status. In addition to this elemental work, we also advise and represent nonprofits regarding contracts and breaches of contracts, governance issues, fundraising and sponsorship matters, insurance issues and litigation.

We also assist individuals, foundations and corporations, as well as nonprofit organizations, with tax planning and advice related to estate planning and gifting.
