We represent and represent clients against government entities and municipalities throughout Texas, primarily in matters related to real estate, economic development, employment discrimination and Texas open records lawsuits. We have defended public entities in claims involving allegations of deprivation of civil rights and First Amendment issues, procedural and substantive due process, sovereign immunity and immunity of public officials sued in their official and individual capacities.

  • Represented a large U.S. city in its efforts to create a downtown street-level retail district.
  • Represented a public entity in the negotiation and documentation of a long-term management agreement for a $200 million+ sports and entertainment venue
  • Defended municipalities in multiple major employment discrimination lawsuits.
  • Represent public-private partnerships in creditors’ rights lawsuits involving collection of debts.
  • Represented a private industry client that does substantial work with government entities who was subjected to numerous attempts by a competitor to obtain access to its trade secrets using the Texas Public Information Act.
